Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Pommard Les Pézerolles 1er Cru is intense and showy on the nose with red cherries, cassis and crushed violet scents. There is just a faint touch of VA but nothing too bad. The palate is medium-bodied with a lovely, balsamic-tinged entry. Modest depth, quite smooth in texture with a liberal dash of white and black pepper towards the finish. It should give 15-20 years' drinking pleasure. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.

Fleshy and dense fruits. Intense and full on the palate for Pinot Noir; big tannins and ripe fruit working together. Grippy but the fruit is what shines through in this warm vintage. Very well put together, for those who like the bite of tannin and acid. (TP)
