Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières reveals aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, peach, spring blossom, honeycomb and praline, followed by a medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated palate that's chalky and structured, built around lively acids and appreciable dry extract.

The 2018 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a generous bouquet with hazelnut and light flint aromas, just a touch of warmth here emanating from the growing season. The palate is well balanced with a lightly honeyed opening, a little oaky for my liking, especially towards the finish. I have tasted better Genevrières from Henri Boillot in the past to be honest.

Bottled. Powerfully herbal on the nose. Sweet start and then tense. Maybe just a little too opulent? I think for the money I might choose a J-M Boillot. It’s rich and winning. (JR)
