The 2020 Mâcon-Lilly-Lamartine Clos du Four was bottled just before the harvest. Lovely tangerine, citrus peel and pressed yellow flower scents on the nose, the palate opens nicely with impressive concentration, fine acidity and veins of stem ginger towards the persistent, Muscat-tinged finish. Excellent. Closure: Diam.

The 2020 Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine is a pretty, fine-boned wine, offering up notes of crisp orchard fruit, fresh herbs and bread dough, followed by a medium-bodied, vibrant and chalky palate. After the richer 2019 rendition, the 2020 marks a return to a more understated register.
