(a high-altitude wine from the climat Les Rouges du Dessus): Medium red. Rather brooding aromas of blueberry, spices, smoke and stony minerality. Almost surprisingly sweet and lush on entry, then tangy and intense in the middle, showing a medicinal cast to the flavors of black cherry and spices. Tightens up considerably on the back end, showing good lift but a bit of youthful austerity. This steep slope faces east/northeast, while the premier cru section of this climat faces more south/southeast.
