A cool but ripe nose is quite restrained with its elegant array of red cherry and abundance of floral nuances and particularly lavender. There is good intensity to the delineated and stony medium weight flavors that display a taut muscularity on the lingering if somewhat bitter and clipped finale. As the description suggests, this is presently pretty awkward and it's honestly hard to say if it will harmonize as the tannins resolve. The Jadot Pougets has an excellent track record for aging out beautifully but it's a puzzle today.
