Bright, dark red. Soil-driven aromas of framboise , menthol, coffee and mint. Plush, full and sweet but given shape by harmonious sappy acidity; this tastes like another vintage! The tangy red fruit flavors are not yet particularly complex but the wine's stony energy and grip and its substantial ripe tannins and superb length suggest that it will age beautifully. Leaves behind a sweet flavor of maraschino cherry.
