Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières 2011 from Louis Jadot is missing a little definition and complexity on the nose compared to the previous three Folatières ’11 in this flight. It seems rather static. The palate is much better: clean and fresh with a fine line of acidity, plenty of lime and green apple notes, flecks of lemongrass towards the focused and quite reserved finish, as if it suddenly remembered not give everything away in its youth.

eRobertParker.com August, 2013 The 2011 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatieres offers attractive scents of honeysuckle, apricot and almond that are well-defined. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with crisp acidity, hints of quince and apricot with a citric twist on the long finish. It just needs a little more terroir expression. Drink 2015-2025.
