Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Meursault Clos de la Barre has turned out very well in bottle, delivering an attractive bouquet of pear, citrus oil, freshly baked bread and toasted hazelnuts, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive palate, concluding with a long, penetrating finish. Along with the terrific 2020, this gets my nod as the finest Clos de le Barre in recent years.

The 2022 Meursault Clos-de-la-Barre has a backward nose that, despite coaxing, doesn't come out to "play." The palate is well-balanced with notes of tangerine and sour lemon, quite spicy towards the finish with satisfying length. The aromatics will require two or three years to step up a gear.
