The 2009 Volnay Vendanges Selectionnées is a selection of village-level parcels. This is a decidedly centered style of Volnay built on a solid core of fruit. It possesses plenty of mid-palate juiciness, while the fruit has enough sheer density to match the tannins on the finish.

Bright red. Deeper, richer and more complex on the nose than the basic village offering, showing aromas of red fruits, rose petal and spices. Richer and broader on the palate, offering very good presence and depth for village wine. Spreads out nicely on the impressively long finish.

Outstanding. This is ripe, pretty, ultra-pure and airy with a nose of liqueur of red and blue pinot fruit with the hallmark stone nuances that complement perfectly the detailed, precise and intense medium-bodied flavors that display textbook purity on the delicious, firm, complex and beautifully long finish. A terrific and notably powerful villages. Drink: 2016+
