Tasting Notes and Scores
The 1999 Morey-St.-Denis, produced from 54 hectoliters per hectare yields, is ruby-colored and reveals waxy blackberry aromas. Medium-bodied and satin-textured, it is a soft, juicy, dark plum-flavored wine that lacks the depth, concentration, or length for a more exalted review. Drink it over the next 5 years. Medium red. Slightly reduced, musky aroma of animal fur. Supple, fruity and sweet, with modest depth and structure. Very agreeable wine that should offer early appeal. From a yield of about 52 hectoliters per hectare.
