Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes has a complex bouquet with hints of white flowers intermingling with the citrus and stony aromas. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry, the acidity very nicely judged here and lending wonderful harmony and focus. It gently fans out on the finish with hints of greengage and citrus peel, completing a superb Saint-Aubin from Olivier Lamy. This comes recommended.

Slightly cloudy appearance. Musky, lightly reduced aromas of lime and crushed rock. Sappy, chewy and extract-rich, showing lovely limey lift and distinctive warm, rocky minerality. Very ripe, saline and strong on the back end. The site on rocky, decomposing calcaire is hot and early, notes Lamy. A second sample that had not yet been sulfited was equally salty but much more taut and lemony and should provide this wine with excellent spine.

Luscious floral notes. Rather arresting! Very demanding. Cool and clean on the end. Bone dry and grapefruit notes. (JR)
