Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly is excellent, offering up a pure and unadorned bouquet of crisp green apples, white flowers and crushed chalk that's classic Lamy. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, stony and saline, with bright, tangy acids and a pure, mineral finish. Right now, it's tight-knit and reserved, so several years' patience is advised.

The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru en Remilly, from two parcels (one has more energy than the other) has a clean and precise, quite minerally bouquet with apple blossom and freshly sliced pear notes. It takes some coaxing from the glass. The palate is vibrant on the entry. There is great energy here, you can feel it fizzing through the tongue, well defined and tensile right to the finish. Excellent - I expect this to land towards the upper end of my banded score once in bottle.

Bright lemon-yellow. Knockout nose combines citrus peel, white pepper and stony minerality. Very concentrated and precise in the mouth, conveying superb energy to its citrus and saline mineral flavors. Strong sappy, dusty extract here and chewy and vibrant on the resounding aftertaste. An outstanding Saint-Aubin wine in the making.

I think this vineyard had problems in 2015? This wine is fine but not one of his most exciting. Straightforward lemony stuff. (JR)
