The 2020 Santenay Clos des Hâtes is firmer and more structured than the Chassagne, exhibiting aromas of plums, wild berries, sweet spices, peonies and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied, taut and concentrated, it will require some patience.

The 2020 Santenay Clos des Hâtes has an expressive bouquet, a mixture of red and blue fruit, just a touch of liquorice. The palate has a slightly "furry" texture, a touch of white pepper with fine density on the finish, if just missing the finesse found elsewhere.
