Tasting Notes and Scores

93.5 ST

Ruby-red. Explosive, slightly liqueur-like aromas of strawberry, cherry, redcurrant, minerals, underbrush and earth. Dense but youthfully reserved, with fresh flavors of strawberry, currant and earth and a slightly aggressive oak element. Currently shows a bit less fruit intensity and a slightly less primary character than the Clos de la Roche. Finishes with notes of strawberry, earth and spice but a tad less sweetness and distinction than the Clos de la Roche.
