Medium-to-dark ruby-colored, the 1997 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Lavieres' nose exhibits perfume, blueberries, and blackberries. It is medium-to-full-bodied, meaty, fresh, and chewy. This dense wine's flavor profile offers stones, minerals, and black fruits. Its finish is presently heavily marked by oak yet this should dissipate with cellaring. Projected maturity: 2002-2008.
