Tasting Notes and Scores

90 ST

(70-year-old vines) Good red-ruby. Spicy, superripe nose hints at smoke and fresh blood; a bit reduced. Dense, ripe and sweet, verging on liqueur-like. Intriguing notes of stone and petrol, along with a faintly roasted element. A round, tannic wine with a slight dryness on the back. There's sound underlying minerality here, but today this sample could use a bit more verve.
