The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges Les Lavières is pretty and lifted in the glass, even though it was vinified with fully destemmed fruit. Crushed flowers, mint, rose petals, savory herbs and mint are nicely layered throughout. A weightless, airy finish adds to the wine's considerable appeal.

Just one barrel in 2013. Bright crimson. Slightly reduced but very pure and sumptuous and with lots of freshness and precision. Just a bit of tightness on the end. Sappy but not that long. (JR)
