Bright ruby-red. The musky dark raspberry and mocha nose exudes a sexy sweetness. Less dense but more delineated than the Clos du Château, conveying a much lower pH impression. Fresh raspberry, blackberry, spice and licorice flavors linger nicely on the lively finish. Very Nuits in character.

Mild reduction pushes the underlying fruit to the background at present. By contrast there is both excellent punch and volume to the utterly delicious and lightly mineral-inflected flavors that display trace of warmth and rusticity on the otherwise solidly persistent finish. This is clearly a Nuits villages but one with a certain refinement.
