Bright ruby-red. Captivating perfume of black raspberry, dark chocolate, smoked meat and soil. Sappy, savory and palate-saturating, conveying a powerful impression of terroir . This wine began with more saline soil tones than primary fruit but intense dark berry flavors emerged with air without any loss of energy. This very tight-grained wine finishes with noble tannins and outstanding length. A great vin de terroir with a classic 2014 balance.

Widely distributed. Broad and appealing. Intense and particularly savoury and ‘mineral’. Lots of ripe opulent fruit. Maybe a hint of spicy oak but the fruit will eat it very shortly. Meaty in the extreme. So long. (JR)
