Tasting Notes and Scores

91 NM

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru is another négoce wine where Méo-Camuzet controls the wine “from A to Z," as Jean-Nicolas Méo put it. It was picked early because the vines tend to ripen early in this vineyard. This has a well-defined bouquet that bursts from the glass, unfurling a mixture of blackberry and cassis fruit infused with fine mineralité . The palate is full of energy and good grip, a little oaky at the moment (50% new), but that will be assimilated with time. Give it three years to soak up the wood and it will become a pretty decent Feusselottes.
