Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru has more vibrancy and energy compared directly with the Aux Murgers. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannins, a little more acidity than the Aux Murgers and good tension and nervosité toward the finish, imparted by the 10% added stems. It needs a little time in bottle, but it should turn out to be a fine Les Boudots.

Lots of obvious oak over the dark-fruit aroma. The tannins are a bit tough and cover the fruit at the moment. Dry finish but might open out to give greater pleasure in time. (JH)
