Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrieres, which comes from two parcels including 20% adjacent to Clos des Perrières and the remainder in Perrières-Dessus, has an attractive bouquet with citrus peel, a hint of licorice and spice, just a little fieriness underneath the surface. The palate is very composed on the entry, the acidity extremely well judged and it builds nicely in the mouth towards a very flattering, lightly spiced, quite structured finish. Perhaps it does not quite deliver the mineral drive of the previous vintage, however, it has a sense of refinement and the persistence is impressive.

(80% of these vines are 70 years old, the rest 50, according to Bouzereau): Cool, highly perfumed aromas of orange oil, flowers and crushed stone. Dense, minerally and suave, with pineapple and crushed stone flavors saturating the entire mouth and reverberating on the very long, pure finish. An utterly seamless wine without any corners, from a crop level of about 45 hectoliters per hectare.
