Mid cherry red. These Jean-Marc Millot wines, or at least these samples, are so varied, this one ripe and dark-fruited. Ripe dark and spicy with oak and savoury layers. Plenty of oak on the palate too but with just enough fruit to balance. A little bit lean overall, though the tannins are fine and elegant. (JH)
