Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is located in the "Pougets" lieu-dit towards the top of the south/southeast facing part of the hill on red clay soils. The nose, more refined than its peers, offers lemon verbena mixed with chai tea and almonds. The palate is well-balanced with gentle grip and quite sapid in the mouth. It’s not a Corton-Charlemagne with huge matières , but it delivers in terms of tension and freshness on the finish. Excellent.

Cask sample. Deep and impenetrable on the nose. Lots of power and concentration. Floral and spice notes on the nose. Concentrated. Powerful, weighty, long-living grand cru. Needs a lot of time to really show its best. (AWH)
