The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques 1er Cru contains 30-40% whole bunches (pédicelles). Red berry fruit on the nose mixes with shucked oyster shell and estuarine aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a mixture of red and black fruit, fresh with crushed stone towards the terse finish. A bit uncompromising but somehow absorbing.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques reveals aromas of sweet red berries, rose petals, loamy soil and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and open-knit palate, concluding with a saline finish.
