The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru has a very detailed bouquet with killer focus; exquisite floral aromas reveal traces of blueberry and cassis and wonderful mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with lucid blue and red fruit, fine saturated tannin and veins of blood orange and tangerine that fan out on the curry-leaf-tinged finish. There is a lot going on in this Les Amoureuses, one of Mugnier's most captivating 2017s.

Barrel sample. Beautifully floral. Roses and a touch of spice. With wild-cherry zing. Gorgeous intensity of red fruit on the palate with the floral scent totally entwined with the fruit. The aroma is so intense and vibrant. A little more savoury on the palate, the tannins compact and chalky but smoothed and the fruit goes on right to the finish. Freshness and fragrance all the way.
