Tasting Notes and Scores
eRobertParker.com October, 2013
The 2011 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a bright and perky bouquet of red currant, crushed strawberry scents and undergrowth with just a faint scent of tomato leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with relatively light tannins when compared to the 2012. But it is certainly well-balanced with an attractive spicy undertow and a precise, if slightly clipped, finish. Drink now-2019.
Wine Advocate
There is a mild lactic character to the otherwise pretty ripe red pinot fruit and plum scents that complement the attractively energetic flavors that possess good detail on the saline-infused finish. The mouth feel here is really quite refined as the tannins are notably fine-grained. This is pretty but seems to lack a bit of freshness at least at present. Drink: 2017+
