Good bright, deep red. Fresh, perfumed aromas and flavors of raspberry, coffee, game and smoky minerality. Sweet and sappy but youthfully unevolved; in comparison to this wine, the Clos Vougeot is downright forward. But wonderfully deep and hinting at the complexity to come. The very long, mounting, subtle finish suggests that this wine will be outstanding.
