Tasting Notes and Scores

17 JH

Just below Bonnes Mares at the entrance to the village. 100% new oak. Barrel sample – already racked from barrel to barrel. More perfumed with red fruit than the Gevrey village wine. Much more subtle. Racy on the palate, bright and fine-boned but with precision and length. The fruit has eaten the oak, which gives structure more than flavour. Finesse and elegance already in the tannins. (JH)
