Bright, deep ruby-red. Very closed, slightly reduced aromas of boysenberry, crushed blackberry, licorice and game. Juicy, spicy and sweet, with excellent definition of flavor and a noble texture. Wonderfully balanced wine without nothing aggressive about it. The classy finish features suave tannins and juicy berry notes.

Bernstein's 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers is rich, deep and fleshy. The Cazetiers doesn't quite have the energy or mineral drive of the Champeaux, but is rather built on a core of expressive, intensely perfumed dark fruit. Dark red berries, flowers and spices are woven together beautifully on the soft, seductive finish.
