Tasting Notes and Scores

93 NM

The 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has an airy nose, floral with touches of lavender oil that mask some of the mineralité and delineation. It is not my favorite aromatics of the flight, becoming a bit musty with aeration, too. The palate is taut and fresh. There is a touch of sour lemon on the entry, the most bitter of the Bâtard-Montrachet flight, with a little shortness on the almost Riesling-like finish. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
