Tasting Notes and Scores

Barrel sample. South-facing mid-slope on red soils but not much clay. Hailed in 2013 and 2015. Seductive richness and intensity of ripe red fruits. A touch of peony, stemmy freshness and spice. Less rich on the palate, cool and fine-boned and just a touch smoky. Will flesh out on the palate with time, suggests Pacalet. Deep and powerful but not powerfully tannic. Very direct and promising much. (JH)
