The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Montluisants 1er Cru has a perfumed, floral bouquet with pastille-like red fruit, raspberry coulis and light orange pith scents, a little more "airy" than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, pretty fleshy on the entry. Ripe red fruit is laced with white pepper and sage, cohesive towards the finish with admirable persistence. This is another classy Morey-Saint-Denis. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
