Healthy, bright ruby-red. Aromas of black- and redcurrant and spices initially reminded me of Cabernet. Savory, juicy and refined, conveying terrific intensity to its flavors of dark cherry and fresh blood. Dense and fine-grained without any excess weight; primary but not a bit hard. This broad, utterly seamless wine shows excellent lift and definition and finishes with suave, fine-grained tannins and building length.
