Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru en Remilly, much to my surprise, had the least expressive bouquet compared to the five other Saint Aubins from PYCM. This is clearly intent on biding its time. The palate is fresh and poised, here unfurling with each swirl of the glass to reveal notes of white peach, freshly-sliced pear and a touch of salinity lending tension on the finish. I would like the aromatics to find its voice during the next couple of years.

Pale yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of yellow peach and apricot. Musky, leesy and quite dry, conveying an impression of power to its stone fruit and mineral flavors. Really spreads out to saturate the mouth without leaving any impression of undue weight.

Vinous
Three parcels in the middle of Remilly. Two are 50 years old and one is 20. Pale straw. Very restrained on the nose. Lots of graininess on the finish. Great density. Very youthful. Smoky and masses to chew on. (JR)
