The 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves is pure and elegant, revealing aromas of sweet cherries, rose petals, smoked tea and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, bright and fine-boned, with powdery tannins and a saline finish, it has withstood the extremes of the vintage well.

The 2020 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru is understated on the nose, opening with brambly red fruit, damp loam and light rose petal scents, though I would have liked a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, quite fleshy and a caressing, poised finish that lingers. Understated but classy.
