Tasting Notes and Scores
Pale, green-tinged color. Aromas of lime, wet stone and menthol. Round and ripe, with appealing flavors of stone fruits and acacia flower. Fat and broad but dry and classic, with plenty of stuffing. Very good but a bit less pristine than the 2006 version.
Wine Independent
A very floral and relatively high-toned nose merges into rich and full-bodied flavors that are a bit more structured than usual and are delicious if not overly complex. I like the underlying sense of minerality and while the vines have a few more years to go before this cuvee returns to what it once was, it's possible to see the gradual improvement in the underlying material.
Allen Meadows
Dusty and very faint lime citrus notes, lemon cream. Delicate but more evident fruit flavour than the straight Chablis. Still more mineral than fruit. Dry, savoury and tight on the palate. Wet stones and a touch of cedar forest. The beginning of a nutty flavour. More complex than the straight Chablis and more power. Taut and very youthful still. Very persistent and intense to the end.
