Here too there is a plethora of Chablis character on the cool, pure and airy aromas that are comprised of smoky white orchard fruit and various citrus scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to remark upon. Very reticent but pure aromas of lemon and quinine. Chiseled and classic if youthfully austere and extremely backward today, offering hints of menthol, citrus peel, minerals and white pepper. Most impressive right now on the long, fine-grained finish. Like the village wine, this is even better--and likely to develop more slowly--than my note last year suggested.
