Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has an airy bouquet of blueberry and crushed strawberry fruit, perhaps missing the complexity of the Clos Vougeot that preceded it at my portfolio tasting. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and nicely focused, though like the aromatics, the finish needs more grip and complexity. A charming Charmes, if not as memorable as others.
