The 2018 Meursault Village represents the usual blend of Clos de la Baronne, Crotot, Gruyaches and Sous la Velle, the latter being the most recent addition to the assemblage. Revealing aromas of pear, green apple, white flowers and fresh pastry, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and succulent, with a pretty and charming profile. As usual, it's the most immediate Meursault in Roulot's cellar.

Clos de la Baronne mainly on the Puligny side plus four small plots, all en fermage (rented) or métayage . Made since 2010. 10% new oak. Tank sample. Spicy and more creamy on the nose than the Bourgogne. Richer and deeper on the palate, smooth and creamy. Mouth-watering, long, good intensity. (JH)
