The 2013 Meursault les Tessons has a gentle, lilting bouquet with subtle quince and apricot blossom scents unfolding with each swirl of the glass. This is one of the prettiest of Jean-Marc's nascent bouquets. The palate is well balanced, quite spicy with fine depth and it builds in the mouth before easing back on the finish. There is a charming playfulness in this les Tessons.

A restrained, cool and airy nose also offers up plenty of citrus character to the green apple, white flower and toasted nut scents. There is an equally restrained mouth feel to the notably mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that retain a lovely sense of delineation on the complex, palate coating and impressively well-balanced finish. This is a villages that consistently performs at a premier cru level and 2013 will definitely continue that trend.
