Like the Amoureuses this too is intensely floral with an overtly spicy nose of plum, dark cherry, lavender and violet aromas. There is satisfying richness to the velvety, round and opulent big-bodied flavors that display an abundance of palate soaking dry extract that pushes the otherwise tightly coiled tannins to the background on the massively long finish. This is one of the greatest wines of the 2011 vintage though note that plenty of patience will be required. Drink: 2031+
