Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques offers up pretty layers of sweet, candied fruit on a mid-weight, persistent frame. This is another attractive, open and approachable 2009 from Rousseau. A delicate, understated finish rounds things out nicely.

Outstanding. An ultra fresh and exceptionally elegant and airy nose features cool red berry and stone aromas that lead to equally mineral-inflected and beautifully well-detailed flavors that possess outstanding intensity and excellent persistence. I very much like the balance and this is a classic Lavaut. Drink: 2017+

Medium red. Pure, fruity aromas of red berries and flowers. Integrated acidity gives a tangy character and lovely aromatic lift to the juicy red fruit and spice flavors. Not the last word in complexity but offers lovely perfume and precision. A very good year for this cold terroir, notes Rousseau.
