The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers opens in the glass with notes of sweet red fruits, orange zest, loamy soil and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, supple and fine-boned, it's lively and seamless, concluding with a mouthwatering finish.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has a not dissimilar nose to the Lavaux; it's a little more streamlined and focused, very pure and well-defined, with touches of damp moss and autumn leaves. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition and is quite peppery, although, like all cuvées at Rousseau, this is fully-destemmed. Saline towards the finish, this is an elegant and refined Les Cazetiers.
