Tasting Notes and Scores
Yellow-straw color. Deep aromas of peach and hazelnut oil. Big, broad, rich and deep, showing near-grand cru weight and concentration to its peachy fruit. The chewy finish features good lemony cut and really stains the palate with flavor. Boudot noted that he has not acidified any of his wines since 2006.

The 2009 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes is a somewhat ethereal wine. It floats on the palate with layers of understated fruit, showing lovely persistence and an understated, classy personality. Nevertheless, it is not an immediate wine, but rather a wine that needs time in bottle to show the full breadth of its personality. This is a fabulous showing.
