The 2019 Marsannay Les Longeroies, which comes from 0.30-hectares of vine and uses 60% whole bunch, offers darker fruit than the Es Chezots; this cuvée conveys scents of shucked oyster shells, the terroir very well expressed. The palate is medium-bodied with black cherries and a very subtle touch of brine, energetic with impressive weight and concentration countered by the keen thread of acidity on the finish. Superb.
