Healthy dark red. Pungent aromas of dried flowers and iodine are complicated by a resiny note. Dense, sweet and deep, conveying an impression of power to its savory flavors of dried flowers and potpourri. Finishes with noteworthy aromatic persistence. This wine will rely as much on its acidity as on its tannins for longevity.

The 2013 Corton Rognet Grand Cru has a very elegant and pure bouquet with raspberry, cranberry leaf, sous-bois and orange blossom scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit on the entry, good acidity, nicely poised with a precise and refined finish. This is well worth seeking out once released.
