The 2022 Corton-Rognet Grand Cru has a very composed bouquet with confit-like red fruit, touches of blood orange coming through with time, and an underlying mineralité that will be more present once in the bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly grainy texture and moderate depth. It is quite saline towards the finish, which feels refined with just the right amount of sapidity. Excellent.

0.41 ha (1 acre). Shallow 40-carbonic maceration soil over rock. Cask sample. Mid ruby. Red fruits – cherries, redcurrants and raspberry. Very fresh with cut white flowers, too. Rounded fruit and lots of freshness. This wears its appellation lightly. No massive Corton character or hard tannins.
