The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers is gorgeous. Refined, finessed tannins provide the backdrop for expressive raspberries, crushed rose petals and spices. Chalky notes support a finish that is all silky. This is a great showing from Thibault Liger-Belair.

Medium red. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, flowers and spices. Round on entry, then tightens up in the mid-palate, showing an angular quality today. Finishes firmly tannic, tight and persistent. This needs further elevage to harmonize.
