(50% new oak; 50% vendange entier ): Bright medium red. The nose offers a highly complex combination of pungent raspberry and cherry fruit, underbrush and wild spices. Pliant and silky but vibrant, conveying lovely licorice and spice lift to the red berry and mineral flavors. Excellent energy and precision here. Really rises on the long, firmly tannic back end, which shows a saline touch and pronounced rocky minerality.
